Found this over at Born at the Crest Of The Empire who in turn found it via Thumping the Tub. It's a Flash movie of the biography of Saddam Hussien, and his life long service to the CIA. The Sound track is classic Bing Cosby.

Hussein was supported by everyone in the 1980s because no one wanted to see the crazy mofos in Iran export the lunatic revolution of 1979.

There's no reason to apologize for this.

First of all, the Iranian people rose up against a dictator that was put in place by the west. He did not embrace traditional Islamic principles. Taking hostages was traditional in the Middle East as a way to avoid outright wars. We shouldn’t justify supporting one evil over another. Intelligent people learn from their mistakes. At least now we put a leader in place then have some hoaky election to give him credibility.

Great post B. Seems jason is making the rounds, defending what bits and pieces he can find to support. Like looking at a wounded corpse and saying, "Geeze that's a lovely color of blood."

Supporting Hussein meant Iran couldn't export the Islamic Revolution, and it was the correct decision.

The terrorist regime in Iran is founded on conspiracy theories, irrational hatred, a zeal for medievalism, and a fondness for murder. It is nothing like the current governments in Turkey and Indonesia, even with their ostensible flaws and dishonorable histories.

Iran's government has denied the holocaust. It also stated a nuclear war with Israel would be a good thing since Israel would be gone forever, while the nation of God would suffer "acceptable losses." Last week an Iranian cleric denounced Tom and Jerry cartoons and being part of a Zionist conspiracy to improve the image of mice, which symbolize Jews. Ahmadinejad has publically stated he must go on the final jihad to bring about the return of the 12th Imam at the end of times.

These guys are hardcore religious Fanatics with a capital F.

Sometimes we must choose the lesser of two evils. it is unethical to maximize evil.

Couldn't export the Islamic revolution? Where have you been the last 20 years? Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. The million people that died in the Iraq/ Iran war died for nothing. Correct decision? I wonder if Ghandi or Martin Luther King Jr would agree. Or how about Jesus? I'm sure you probably call yourself a Christian, but from the sound of your chest thumping I would guess you probably don't practice his teachings. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was elected by the Iranian people. He knows that saying ridiculous crap about the holocaust will bring out crusader wanna be's like yourself. He also knows that his baiting of NeoCons endears him to other Muslims across the world. You see, it's not about the spread of the Islamic revolution that bothers the Neocons that make the actual decisions. Because it's about the petro dollar. It's about Iran going with the Euro and not the American dollar. Real Neocons love the Islamic revolution because they operate better in a world filled with turmoil, civil war, in-fighting and jihad. Why must you choose between the lesser of two evils? Just don't choose evil. By the way, those that have read my posts and comments know I am no fan of Islam, or any religion for that matter.

At the time he was our snake...That's why he figured he could roll tanks into Kuwait. Talk about testing a friendship.

LOC - great post..and good job swatting at the neoconbabe....he must be so tired making his rounds going from blog to blog quoting Michelle Minibrained Malkin and Annie Cunt Coulter...He wasn't even born in 1979- yet he rants about it , and brings it up- even though that isn't even what this post was about in true repugnant adledbrained fashion...yet he doesn't understand the cultures, religions and tribal History of this region of the world....too wet behind the ears and quick on the trigger tongue....and yes, he truly has been sucking deeply on the Iranian Bait about the Holocaust...
The Neocons must be just dying that Democracy is spreading in the Middle East and ELECTED leaders are bringing change to that region- but it isn't Love America change...boohoo...cry me a river...

I just wanted to say that your blog has been rocking and I am getting caught up , but you have been covering some interesting issues., and encouraging dialogue and for some reason that does bring out the lonely disheartened trolls....I guess that makes sense- I mean are they going to brag about Bush at 34%, and Unca Dick at 18% ???

Keep blogging it...you're are doing a good job....

In the pictured meeting of two evils, i would choose Saddam as the lesser. Rumsfeld unleashed a chemical weapon on America that is still being used today.

I am an atheist.

I voted for Nader in 2000, and Kerry in 2004. Today I've pretty much given up on the Democratic Party, not because of wedge issues, but because pacifism in the face of terror has become an article of faith in leftist ranks. Bush isn't the sharpest tool in the box, but his dumbass will be gone in 2008. Suicidal tyrants and cruel terrorists will not.

No one likes the discomforting thought that suicidal and murderous people are not only involved in political movements, but also gain control of governments. However, this happened in the past and happens now. And no, I'm not referring to Texan Methodists.

Iran doesn't want to export Islam -- it wants to export their fascist interpretation of it, even if it means killing jahilis who should be their fellow Muslims. The Taliban was modeled on their example, but thanks to Western intervention, those sick mofos are either dead or hiding in caves.

enigma-- Coincidentally, I was born in 1979. I'm not a fan of identity politics -- it isn't who you are that justifies your beliefs, but evidence and reasoning.

sweetie, as far as the fastest-growing religion goes, that is a statistic that can be twisted to suit anybody's purposes. Check this link for an interesting take on this subject:
